Cloud bud vase

This is a small bud vase inspired by the quiet movement and layering of clouds. A soft band of raised, swirling forms wraps the centre of the piece, evoking drifting cloud banks seen from above. These gentle relief patterns emerge through a pale, gloss glaze, creating depth through shadow rather than colour.

The slender neck and compact scale encourage a single stem or dried bloom, allowing negative space to play an equal role in the composition and balancing simplicity with subtle surface detail.
