What kind of delivery service do you offer?

I aim to process orders to despatch within 72 hours of order placement. If it is not possible to despatch your order within 72 hours I will attempt to contact you within this time and provide the opportunity for you to cancel or change the order.

I am excited to offer worldwide shipping, but some of the current shipping costs are quite high. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for a small business to bear all these costs. However, I am constantly searching for cheaper and more reliable shipping options and will update the prices accordingly.

Please note that the shipping costs quoted are for small/medium-sized parcels due to size limitations. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

As I am based in Glasgow, I am more than happy to arrange pick-ups from Central Station. Please select pick up at check out, at no cost and I will contact you and arrange a suitable time. Saving the planet one pot at a time!

How do I care for my purchase?

AAll pieces are made with durable stoneware clay. They should last a long time if you avoid dropping them and subjecting them to temperature shocks. Since these pieces are handmade, it's not advisable to apply heat to them, except for the oil burners when using a tealight. The glazed surfaces are safe for food, but the unglazed surfaces are uneven and may potentially allow bacterial growth in the long term. While the pieces can endure a dishwasher cycle, the harsh chemicals will eventually strip the shine and smoothness.hness of the glaze, so hand washing is recommended.

How can I pay for my order?

I accept all major debit and credit cards on this website. All prices quoted on this site are in GBP Sterling, and your credit/debit card will be charged in GBP Sterling.

Is it safe to use my credit card?

Absolutely. I have taken every precaution to make your transactions secure. All credit and debit card transactions are processed using a secure server run by SumUp.

Do your prices include VAT and postage?

All prices quoted on this site exclude postage and do not have VAT applied. MacChoi Pottery is not a VAT registered business so customers outside the UK may not reclaim VAT.

Import Duty and Customs clearance?

When purchasing from outside the UK, customers are responsible for all duties levied by the destination country. MacChoi Pottery is not responsible for delays in clearing customs.

What is your policy on customer satisfaction?

I am committed to customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with your order please inform us within 14 days of receipt of the goods (this does not affect your rights as a consumer).

Returning an order.

Any returns must be initiated via email, no item should be sent back without prior confirmation. Customers may return an undamaged/unused order within 14 days of receipt, for any reason, and the customer will be refunded the full amount paid within 30 days. If a customer wishes to do this they will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods. With regard to faulty (damaged) goods only, where a customer properly rejects such goods within a reasonable time, they will be refunded all postage costs. To do this, contact us through email.

Statutory right to cancel an order.

A customer may cancel an order at any time prior to despatch. If payment has been taken it will be refunded in full including postage charges within 30 days of cancellation. Where a consumer is in receipt of an unwanted order, I would like it to be made clear that they have a 14 working day cancellation period, from the day after the day that the goods are received. The customer will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods. To exercise this right you can contact us via email. A confirmation will be sent out via email.

Complaints Handling

I will acknowledge all complaints within three working days and state how long it will take to resolve. I will endeavour to resolve all complaints within five working days. I will keep you informed of the progress made. Nothing in the statements above affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
